New Digital Titles ~ Starting July 1, 2025

If there is an active lien, a box would be checked indicating that the lien exists. Once the loan is fully paid off and the lien is released, the box will be unchecked to indicate that a lien no longer exists.
When a customer pays off their loan, they can request an electronic title release to have the electronic title issued in their name with no lien. This will allow them to later sell the vehicle without needing a lien release for the electronic title.
To sell a vehicle with an electronic title, the customer will utilize our Bill of Sale of an Electronic Title. This document will take the place of the Oklahoma title and can be downloaded from our forms section to print, fill out and notarize. If the vehicle is a 2011 year or newer, an Odometer Statement will be required in conjunction with the Bill of Sale of an Electronic Title.

A title establishes a person or business as the legal owner of a vehicle. When you buy or inherit a vehicle, the title must be transferred into your name to verify the ownership has passed from the previous owner to you. The State of Oklahoma requires titles to be applied and issued within two months of ownership.
